Carlton Wards
The Royal Children’s Hospital operated in Carlton from 1876 until relocating to Parkville in 1963. This collection comprises mainly interior photographs of the hospital wards, as well as some exterior photos that depict beds on balconies, a common method used to ensure the patients got sufficient fresh air and sunshine.
