This large album documents the early decades at The Children’s Hospital Orthopaedic Section in Mt Eliza. The seaside facility was a crucial element of care for children in Victoria, especially during the years of tuberculosis epidemics. Daily life at Mt Eliza included heliotherapy, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy, as well as many visits from celebrities, dignitaries and volunteer groups who helped to improve the quality of life for patients at the Orthopaedic Hospital.
